Galvan Offers Prompt Delivery On Aluminum And Copper Split Bolts In Variety Of Conductor RangesHARRISBURG, N.C. -- Galvan Industries now offers prompt delivery in volume on a wide range of clamps, connectors and complementary products in varying sizes and materials designed to meet the special needs of electric utilities. Galvan's utility product line includes vise-type connectors, ground plates, transformer ground connectors, hot-line clamps, parallel groove clamps, tower ground clamps, ground rod drivers and drive-on ground clamps. Galvan offers 10 models of vise-type connectors with main and tap conductor ranges from 6-14 solid to 1/0 solid Ð 4/0 solid copper. In ground plates, the company stocks round (Type GP) and square (Type PB) copper products and steel ground plates. Designed for burial at least two feet below grade, the steel plates are available as galvanized or bare. Galvan supplies six models of tank transformer connectors. These high-conductivity bronze connectors handle vertical and horizontal-directed cable and fit all standard EEI-NRMA transformers. Type GC transformer ground connectors are also available. The company's line of parallel groove clamps includes Type PAA high-strength aluminum alloy one- and two-bolt clamps with galvanized bolt, nut and lockwasher (oxide inhibitor filling optional) and no-assembly corrosion-resistant cast aluminum connectors (Type PAC) with cast-in copper liner. Galvan also offers four models of one- and two-piece aluminum alloy tower ground clamps. Galvan ground rod drivers are safer to use than hammers. Made in the U.S., they're ideal for 5/8- and 3/4-inch rods. They protect against mushrooming of rods during installation both flush with the surface and below grade. Galvan's drive-on compression ground clamps can be used in direct burial application with all 5/8-inch diameter UL listed copper-bonded rods for a permanent connection.
