Aluminum And Copper Split Bolts In Variety Of Conductor Ranges Available From GalvanCHARLOTTE -- Need split bolts? Galvan Industries provides prompt delivery on one of the industry's broadest selections of aluminum and copper split bolts that meets and/or exceeds UL486B standard. Aluminum split bolts are manufactured from a high strength heat-treated aluminum alloy that resists corrosion and, under torque, supply high contact pressure between conductors. K & S Type split bolts are produced from alloyed copper and are all UL listed and CSA certified. Galvan S Type copper split bolts are provided tin-plated with spacer. They can be used on copper, aluminum and ACSR conductors. Application of an oxide inhibitor is suggested when using S type split bolts with aluminum conductors. For heavy duty service connections for copper conductors only, Galvan offers bronze two-bolt taps. A swiveling cap ensures quick and easy installation of the conductor while a rubber retaining washer prevents the loss of parts. Two-bolt models are built from high strength bronze castings that resist stress and corrosion. Their flat back design enables them to be used as a bus tap with longer bolts. In addition to split bolts, Galvan Industries is the only U.S. manufacturer of both hot dip galvanized, copper clad and stainless steel ground rods. Its electrical and electronic products are used in a wide variety of applications, including commercial/industrial/residential construction, cable TV, lightning protection, power generation, telecommunications and OEM markets. Galvan products are made in America and manufactured to comply with applicable UL,RUS,ASTM, ANSI and NEMA requirements.
