Galvan Announces Four-Conductor and Six-Conductor Panelboard
Connectors for 500 KCMIL to 4 AWG Through 750 KCMIL to 1/0 AWG

Harrisburg, N.C. -- Galvan Industries’ comprehensive line of electrical panelboard connectors now includes four and six-barrel models that accommodate conductor ranges of 500 KCMIL to 4 AWG, 500 KCMIL to 2 AWG, 600 KCMIL to 2 AWG and 750 KCMIL to 1/0 AWG. Galvan's 4ABV and 6ABV are dual-rated aluminum solderless connectors that provide a rare combination of conductor size and connection capacity.

Designed for use with aluminum or copper conductors, they are manufactured from high-strength 6061-T6 aluminum alloy to ensure both maximum durability and conductivity. They feature a straight mounting pad with two fastener holes to eliminate the rotation allowed by single-hole mounted lugs.

The hex-head conductor screws are designed to extend beyond the barrel sides of the connector to allow a better, more secure compression of the conductor. This design spreads the conductor strands to help dissipate heat, and improve its pull out safety features and capabilities.

The design of the chamfered-entry wire way provides optimum transfer of current, creating a straight-line flow through the connector for the least possible path of electrical resistance. A positive wire stop is also part of the design.

Galvan's 4ABV-500, 4ABV-600, 4ABV-750, 6ABV-500 and 6ABV-750 are part of a full line of dual-rated aluminum panelboard connectors. Configurations include one-hole/two-barrel, two-hole/two-barrel, two-hole/three-barrel, two-hole/four-barrel and two-hole/six-barrel. Conductor ranges extend from 300 – 6 to 750 – 1/0.
