New Galvan Electrical Pipe Clamps Feature Swivel Conduit
Hubs With Saddle Clamp Grounding Connections
HARRISBURG, N.C. – A new series of UL listed pipe clamps from Galvan Electrical Products feature swivel hubs that swing 360 degrees for easy alignment to rigid conduit. Saddle clamps on the hubs make grounding connections simple and secure.
Cast from a highly conductive copper alloy, the new high-strength pipe clamps are available in two styles, with or without a solid copper strap between the hub and the clamp. Both styles are UL listed.
Model GC11-CSLH, with the copper strap, is sized for 1/2-inch to 1-inch pipe and handles 1/2, 3/4, and 1-inch conduit. The copper strap allows flexibility during grounding and helps protect the conduit system from the effects of vibrations in water pipes.
Strapless models are designated GC11-LH (for 1/2 to 1-inch pipe), GC22-LH (for1-1/4 to 2-inch pipe) and GC4-LH (for 2-1/2 to 4-inch pipe). All three are available in configurations for 1/2, 3/4, and 1-inch conduit.
The cast bronze saddle clamp on the swivel hub makes it easy to complete the grounding connection. Simply slide the appropriate conductors under the clamp and tighten the two zinc plated steel screws.
